This Vice-Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Sustainability recognises the Green Impact Program Team for advancing environmental sustainability at Deakin through promotion and rewarding engaged staff and students. Green Impact is a team-based program that engages and rewards students and staff members who want to champion sustainability at Deakin. With 70 teams and over 400 individuals involved in 2019, Deakin is the best-performing university participating in the program in Australasia. By the end of July these ambassadors had collectively completed 283 sustainability actions, with the figure increasing steadily each day. Their efforts are helping us to improve the environmental sustainability of our campuses in a meaningful and noticeable way.
